Freak Surf Center

The surf centre has a unique cosy atmosphere and is run efficiently, with the best JP and NP equipment from 2012. Along with the outstanding wind statistics, it is one of the best centre’s in the world. It lies in the middle of a beautiful sandy bay, lined with trees. Even in the high season the waters are un-crowded, as it is set away from mass tourism. Non-surfers equally enjoy the friendly atmosphere and the wind-protected and tree shaded area around the station. Naturally we are also offering; electricity, water supply, beach shower, sun beds, volleyball, drinks, evening entertainment and party’s….

Safety on the water
The bay is enclosed; therefore there is no chance of you drifting off shore. However guests are still advised not to surf out further than 1.0 km. We pride ourselves on our safety system and there is always a member of the crew on Baywatch duty. A powerful motorboat and Jet Ski are available, in the case of an emergency.

Crew
Hannes Unterweger (Austria) and Davina Payne (UK) realised their dream and opened the Freak windsurf station with friends in 2004. They have built up an International, fun and loyal team over the years and for the summer of 2012 the crew will include; Kati (Austria), Alex (German) and Thomas (France). Between us we can communicate with you in English, French, Italian, Spanish and German.
